KE Soul, Another Magnificent Float by King Edward VII Hall

NUS Rag Day 2010 was held for the first time at night
in conjunction with the Youth Olympic Flame Arrival Celebrations.

This year the 6 halls were given the tasks of building a float that represents the cities where the Olympic Flame had journeyed through.
From Athens (Temasek Hall), to Berlin (Raffles Hall), Dakar (Sheares Hall), Mexico (Eusoff Hall), Auckland (Kent Ridge Hall) and finally Seoul (King Edward VII Hall)

Well Done King Edward VII Hall Float Team
Despite the lack of manpower, you guys had pull out another magnificent float and performance

This is a tribute to you all and the Most Magnificent Float

Just got back from Pulau Besar after a Singapore National Day long weekend trip
And the first thing I see on my FaceBook page is the striking red 99 notification alert against the blue background on top bar
Was quite shocked to see that, yet touched to see my profile page being flooded with them. =)

古晋 Kuching Rediscovered

这次回家，回得很突然
主要是应朋友之约，带着钟庆发 (好奇怪...还是用Anthony吧) 到Gambier Street, Main Bazaar 取材料,完成他的论文.
取材料的任务不算很成功 (有些数据还没拿到)，但认识古晋吃遍美食的任务完成度应该没有90%，也有80%吧

古晋
每一次回来都觉得她在随着时代的潮流做出轻微的改变

不变的是
一碗卷面，只需那几片叉烧，些许肉脞和青葱的点缀，就能做成美味的Kolomee 哥罗面 (也可称之为干捞面)
而且不管在哪，只需几分钟的车程就能找到美食... 干捞面 Kolomee, 砂劳越叻沙 Laksa, 三层奶茶冰 Teh C Special, 粿什Kueh Chap... 还有些客家擂茶, 兴化面, 广东炒粿条, 潮州粥, 福州鼎边糊和光饼 等等...

不变的是
就算世风败坏、社会秩序混乱
古晋人还是那么热情，那么淳朴
生活速度还是那么慢
各族还是比较和谐的

不变的是
城市的发展虽然拆除了许多建筑，但还是可以看到中式，英式，马来式的建筑和谐的遍布在城市里
更甭说内地土族的长屋，高脚屋

不变的是
古晋虽然多了几栋大楼，多了几十万辆车，天空却还是那么蓝，云还是那么白，空气还是那么清新，雨后的青蛙还是叫得那开心

一路上听Anthony志鹏叶丹他们述说古晋的好，我心里微微有些骄傲

志鹏说Anthony要送我一首诗来形容他这五天的感受:
「叶落猪蹄霜漫天
今番酒后吐满脸
来年再续古晋缘
乐不思蜀干捞面」

呵呵! 我觉得叶丹的感受会是:
「春眠不觉晓
处处蚊子咬
清晨鸡鸣声
晦雨河滨跑」
=)

明天又要搭飞机回'怕输Land'，除了不舍还是不舍。
期待下一个回家的日子快点到来

World Cup 2010 Final.....

For the first time, my Facebook homepage was not filled with moans about who played badly, or cheers about the advancement of which team.
Almost every other post is on Paul the octopus. -_-|||

Paul, the octopus was used as an oracle in an attempt to predict the results of major German international football matches. So far, he scores 6 out of 6 predictions
The Singapore version of match-predicting psychic animal, Mani, the Parakeet.
Scored 5 out of 6 prediction

I think by the end of the World Cup. Few people will know this year's Mascot is called Zakumi, the leopard. But everyone will know Paul. -_-|||
