Australia Trip Day00: Singapore -> Darwin -> Cairns

Accommodation: on the plane

It was a fine day to start a journey.
A fine day indeed.. until we couldn't fetch a cab even after waiting for more than half an hour
In the end we resorted to taking bus to Buona Vista MRT station and call a taxi to the taxi stand.

At the airport, Teo Peng had to wait for Meng Ho 'cos their air tix were purchased together, so they have to checked in together,
while the rest of us can proceed with checking in our cargo luggage.
Just 10-20 minutes before the counter closed, Meng Ho arrived with his backpack.
What a way to start a journey...

We had Ajisen Ramen for dinner at Changi Airport, before we depart for the land of Fish n Chips.

and we waved good-bye to Zheng Yu.

Thanks, Zheng Yu, for seeing us off at Changi Airport.

On the way to the Boarding Gate, only to know that we are the last to board the plane. Aiks!

The JetStar plane took off rather on time at 9.45pm

Transit in Darwin Airport

and off we go on another plane at 5.05am (Darwin time) to Cairns, our 1st destination.

Australia Trip: Foreword

A plan for a graduation trip had been in my mind for quite some time even long before I finish my final year in NUS.
We have a few choices: Japan, Taiwan, Australia, etc...
But then obviously, the 1st two were slightly too expensive for our current financial status whereas, the economic downturn caused AUD to went down rather drastically, to be at one time even lower than SGD.
Needless to say, the Land Down Under became our choice of destination for this trip.

I started e-mailing our previous trip mates.
Many showed interest in going, causing the number of caravan needed to grow from 1 to 2 to 3.
However, as the date drew nearer, problems began to pop up.
Financial problem, family problem, personal problem, H1N1 swine flu problem, etc..
causing myself to consider pulling out at one point of time.

Well, luckily I didn't, many thanks to my fellow friends. =)
If not, I would have missed such a wonderful, 有惊无险 Aussie Trip. =))

Just wanna say thanks, guys, for making my final trip before I officially left NUS as an undergraduate a wonderful trip.

And now, as with any of our previous trip, we have IC for every aspect of a trip.

After one and a half day of work, I finally finish editing and uploading my Aussie 'Grad' Trip photo to both my Picasa Web Albums and Facebook Photo Albums

11.7GB of Photos! Unbelievable

and we hit 11.7GB of photos and occasional videos!
Considering there aren't really a lot of cam whores in this trip
11.7GB is rather unbelievable

Guess there are too many duplicates shots between mine and Teo Peng's.
So be patient, guys.
Let me delete those duplicate photos, sort out and rename the pictures chronologically, and finally stitch those panoramic shots.
Hopefully I can upload them by tonight or tomorrow.

从Aus Trip回来了

踏出飞机的一刹那
那扑鼻的闷热，好比生活的压力让我有点透不过气

我很想大声地回头向trip-mate说, 'WELCOME BACK TO SINGAPORE!!!'
在那情况下我却只能用尴尬的表情和无奈的笑容细声道, 'this is Singapore... welcome back...'

我回来了
从Aus Trip回来了
成绩也放榜了
是时候收拾心情了
是时候面对现实了

一只壁虎在一施工工地上游荡，
这时正好有一条大鳄鱼远远地爬了过来，准备要一口吃 掉它。
情急之下，小壁虎上前一把抱住了鳄鱼的腿，大声喊："爸爸！"

大鳄鱼一愣，立即老泪纵横：儿子啊…别再上班了…半个月就瘦成这样了！
