Journey to SAS Cargo (Malmö), Sending Our Luggages

I am so gonna blog about this...

I can't remember when did we come out with the idea of shipping our luggages, especially the winter clothings, back.
But it was finally done yesterday.
---------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't easy packing 4 person's stuff into just 2 luggages.
And the fluffiness of the winter jackets just doesn't help.
I fold & roll & stuff & squeeze my winter wear and accessories, together with Vincent's empty note pad and books, into my small luggage.
As for Stanley's Bag, it is even worst. there 4 person's clothes inside...
from the distorted shape in the middle, u can tell how full it is...
I am so scared that the zip or even the bag might just burst anytime during the transport...

Even after much squeezing, we still cant pack everything in.
So, all of us have to compromise.
3 pairs of leather shoes from Me, Stanley & Kane. And The Golden Compass, Notes and More Notes from Vincent.

Step 2: Transporting
It's a hellish job transporting the 2 luggages from Östra Torn, Lund to the SAS Cargo office in Bronsåldersgatan, Malmö.
And weight of the books just make things worse...
So, from Östra Torn, me and Stanley grab the ICA trolley stolen by Dun-Know-Who and push it all the way to the busstop.
We took Bus 166 to Lund Central. and take a train down to Malmö.

Then...
The real nasty.. hellish task comes....
Bringing the luggages without the help of the trolley from the train station to the bus stop at Värnhemstorget...
Really is like用尽吃奶的力to push & drag all the way...

And that's not all..
After taking Bus 33 to Stenyxegatan, we have to push & drag again, to SAS Cargo at Bronsåldersgatan.
It's only when we turn into Bronsåldersgatan that we met our 贵人.
A swede actually stop his car and offered to help us bring our luggages.
I'm truly grateful for that.
I never get to ask him his name 'cause he turn his car and drove off as I was asking the SAS Cargo worker for direction of the office.
Here I just wanna say, 'Tack så mycket, Mr. 贵人!'

Initially we want to ship the box on top as well..
Luckily we din... 'cos I think we will really tyre pumchek halfway...

Step 3: Sending
After reaching the TrushForwarding, Malmö SAS Cargo office,
I saw a paper stuck on the door.
"Opening Hours 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday
Lunch 12:00 - 13:00"
I said to myself, 'We are screwed.'
'cos I know it was almost 4:40pm.

NO WAY AM I GONNA BRING THIS BACK TO LUND!!!

We just went in to try our luck.
looks like Lady of Luck is on our side this time.
There I met my 2nd 贵人 for the day.

The lady there, after looking at the
BIG bags we have, allow us to send it in even after their office hour.
I helped the guy bring the luggages to the storeroom to weigh and store them, while Stanley fill in the details since I wun b around when the luggages arrive in Singapore.
The guy came back and tell us a shocking news..

"Your luggages are 63kg."

WTF!!! 63kg!!!
The 2 of us actually drag 63kg of stuff from Lund to Malmö...
*faint...*

Then, another shocking news come like a blow in the head.
After calculating, the lady turn her head over and said, 'The total cost is SEK3900+'

WTF!!! SEK3900+!!!
That's like triple of what I initially tot it would cost.
*faint...*

Looking at us begging for discount, and our pityful & stunt look.
The lady check for another airlines which offer a lower surcharge, and this time the cost is SEK3200.25.
Man.. A pain in the ass...
Reluctantly, I paid with my DBS Debit Card, 'cos we din bring enough cash..
Our Bill. SEK3200.25

Step 3: Going Back

Finally finish the task of shipping our stuff back.
I feel relieved.
At least now I dun have to carry so many things back, and I definitely wun get charged by the airport for overweight luggage.
Now.. Without the heavy luggages, we can actually smile in front of the office...
---------------------------------------------------------
Some photos taken on our way back.

---------------------------------------------------------
Google Map say it is 32.8km from Östra Torn, Lund to Bronsåldersgatan, Malmö.
It sure is a long journey there...

Last Östra Torn Gang Dinner

Today is the last dinner with the full gang of the 6 Östra Tornians.
(well... technically this is incorrect because Jimmy is from Delphi, and Kang Wei is from Vildanden... But who cares, we always had dinner together in OT.)

Back to the dinner.
Shuyi is leaving tomolo...
Back to homeland Singapore...
Back to the land where you can find all kinds of good food... *jealous glare*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upon her request, we have Rendang! and Corn Soup!
and we had Mixed Brocolli as the vege, and Fries as the side dish.
And to end the meal, we have applemust from Kiviks Musteri to wash the food down.
Quite a scrumptious meal, i must say...
Despite some cock-ups in the preparations, everything actually tastes quite nice...
And I just love it when we have ~1kg of Rendang that we can eat all we want...
YUMMY~~
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last dinner, last group photo with the 6 of us together.
And looking back....
*taken very long ago when we still have the chilli ketchup
Man! I look so different with long hair...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To Shuyi:
Thanks for washing almost all our dishes.
Hope you can perfect your Apple Crumble, and make 1 with at least 1 sigma of consistency.

To Jimmy:
Thanks for coming over early to help out, despite staying in Delphi.
Hope we can come up with more crazy ideas of cooking the dishes. Muahaha.
And we should really try to hit at least 1 sigma...

To Kang Wei:
Thanks for helping out and coming over early too, especially when you stay the furthest away from OT.
And most importantly, thanks for sharing generously with us all your spicies and prima taste packs. A lot of the food wun taste as nice without those paste.
Hope you will finally get yourself a deep fryer and a bigger pot in Singapore. =)

To Dezhong:
Thanks for bringing in some new recipes that I have never thought of, eg. tomato egg, carrot & pork, etc.
Hope you will learn to love garlic in your dishes. *smirk*

To Stanley:
Thanks for doing some of dishes.
Hope you at least learn some dishes from us to bring back to Singapore. =)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys! We Should Really Meet Up To Have A Meal Together Again When We Are Back In Singapore!
OR EVEN COOK!!

If we could shrink the Earth’s population to a village of 100 people...

"If we could shrink the Earth’s population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same..."

~This is a flash animation made by 'the Miniature Earth' project since 2001.

Back then I find the idea quite fresh.
It's like reading Earth's history in 24 hours...
Dinosaurs will appear on the surface of Earth at 22:46 PM,
while Homo sapiens at 3.1 sec before midnight
This truly shrinks one's ego...

Shrinking the world population into 100,
That makes it easier for us to understand the differences in the world.
'cause normal human mind can't really work with big numbers...

---------------------------------------------------
Something to ponder...
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, money in your wallet and spare change in a dish somewhere, you are among the top eight percent of the world’s wealthy

Pillow Fight in Östra Torn

Talk about crazy stuff we do in Lund...
A PILLOW FIGHT in Östra Torn..
----------------------------------------------------------
This is taken when it was still early, and I personally find playing soccer with a pillow very funny.
----------------------------------------------------------
Then... by 7.30pm... the real game begins...
We do it the ancient roman way - where the emperor throw a tissue and as soon as it hit the ground the battle starts.
Phew... that was tiring...
Especially running around, swinging your pillow, right after dinner...
..................................................................
After ~30minutes.......
Time to cease fire and have a debrief.
WEE!!! Throw your pillow UP HIGH!!
----------------------------------------------------------
And finally a group photo.
In the process of lying down on the grass with our pillow
ARGHHHH!!! WATER BALLOONSS!!!
Too bad you didn't run fast enough...
(p/s: that's my neighbour from Kazakhstan)
------------------------------------------------
Me and my sexy pink pillow.
Yeah... talk about crazy stuff we did in Lund...
------------------------------------------------
Thanks Claudia, for organizing the event.

Assignments: ALL CLEARED!!!

Finally handed in my Literature Review for my Pharmacology course.

LITERATURE REVIEW:
Ginseng and Its Active Compound: Ginsenosides

I brought my laptop to Stockholm, to Helsinki with me, hoping that I can finish it there.

But, you guess it...
Bringing books, notes, assignments on a trip is always a stupid idea.
------------------------------------------------------------
Now that I have finish the Methodological Task, the 2 Lab Report, and this final Literature Review, the only thing left waiting for me is the 10-minute presentation next week on my findings.
10-minutes.. shouldn't be hard, just about 10 slides will do..
After that I will have my Final Exam on 4th June...

AND...

EUROAM! HERE I COME!!
