In this episode of 《我的食习日记》 my hometown, Kuching (Sarawak, Malaysia) is chosen for Ben (杨志龙) to learn some dish in his Channel U 'Food Apprentice' Show 《我的食习日记》. It is a show where instead of having famous chef demonstrating the way to cook, Ben has to learn from the local chef, and at the last day of his training perform the dish for his masters to examine his skills.
And what food can better represent Kuching if not Kolo Mee.
Will I see the familiar 'Channel U endorsed' food sticker on the stall the next time I visit 新联成? Whether they have the sticker or not, I just hope they won't increase the price again... By the way, it is still possible to get Kolo Mee at RM2.00 in Kuching. Cheap eh?
